A farewell in wool

It breaks my heart to write these words.

After the passing of my beloved husband and partner Co, I can no longer continue what we built together. The workshop feels empty without his laughter, his hands, his warmth.

For three generations, our family poured its soul into every lopapeysa, keeping alive the love for Icelandic craftsmanship that began with my grandparents in 1957. But now, that love feels heavier — woven with grief, memory, and silence.

I’m closing our doors, not because I want to, but because my heart can’t go on without him.
